All about our Mugwort Dreaming Bags

But perhaps, Mugwort is most famous as a bringer of dreams. Our Mugwort Dreaming Bags are perfect for tucking inside your pillowcase.

Each bag, measures 7 x 5 inches, is made from black organza, covered with gold stars and wrapped with a drawstring. Renowned for bringing calming sleep to the weary. Mugwort also produces vivid, fantastic dreams that may contain mystical experiences and messages.

The dreams may be prophetic in nature and bring inner enlightenment. My own experience with Mugwort has led me to believe it enables one to freely travel the astral planes of existence; to travel between the upper, middle and lower worlds, while protecting the traveler’s ethereal body. Even my husband, who used to proclaim that he “can’t remember his dreams”, has had fantastic “journeys” when sleeping with his Mugwort Dreaming Bag. Be sure to keep the dream journal and symbolism dictionary handy! You won’t be disappointed. Bags will remain potent up to 1 year. Mugwort Dreaming Bags make intriguing gifts.

About the Mugwort used in the Mugwort Dreaming Bags

I consider Mugwort to be an essential herb to any modern practitioner’s collection. Revered since ancient times as a visionary herb, Mugwort, with its grey-green, silver undersided leaves, is an Artemisia (as are Wormwood, Southernwood and sagebrush)

The Latin name Artemisia Vulgarus, indicates this herb’s prominent connection to Artemis: Virgin Moon Goddess and Healer of Woman. Used for thousands of years and valued for its psychic properties, Mugwort has long been revered as an herb of divination. Esteemed by all-women covens, Mugwort is used for protection (children, home, travelers, etc.), to consecrate divinatory tools and all magickal implements made from silver. It has a special affinity with pearls, moonstones, crystal balls, magick mirrors and prisms. A weak infusion (tea) may be drunk once or twice a day to increase psychic awareness and inner vision. Or similarly, it may be burned as an incense for scrying and to increase the psychic energy of ritual work. Sprigs of fresh Mugwort may be placed around scrying tools or used to decorate the altar. The Mugwort in my garden grows to over 5 ft. in height. It is often grown in the garden to manifest a spiritual connection to the Goddess and to the ancestral spirits of healers and herbalists.
